Mushroom masala curry

1/4 cup onion (sliced)

4 garlic cloves chopped

1 cup grates coconut

1 inch of cinnamon stick

1/2 tbs  black pepper

1 tbs coriander seed

4 cloves

4 dry chili

Pinch of turmeric powder

1 tbs of oil

1 onion sliced

250 grams of mushroom

Little tamarind (make a paste)

Salt as required

Coriander leaf (garnish)


  • Wash the mushroom  and slice it
  • Grind onion ,garlic,cinnamon stick,black pepper,cumin seed,cloves ,dry chili,turmeric powder and make a  a paste without adding water
  • Now add grated coconut and make a thick paste
  • Heat oil in a pan in a low flame, add little sliced onion and fry them til it changes colour
  • Add sliced mushroom  and fry it for a mins 
  • Now add the ground paste the mushroom should coat the paste nicely  now add little salt as required   
  • Close the lid and cook til the mushroom z cooked nicely garnish with coriander 
  • Take out the vessel from the flame and serve with chapathi/dosa/naan
