paneer butter masala

  • 300 grams of paneer (cut in cubes)
  • 2 onion(chopped)
  • 1 piece of ginger (chopped)
  • 3-4 garlic cloves
  • 3 tomatoes ( boil tomatoes peel the skin and make a  tomato puree)
  • Few cashews nuts(soak it in water)
  • 1 piece of bay leaf
  • 2 green chili (slit)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1tbs Kasuri methi
  • 1/2 tbs garam masala powder
  • 1tbs red chili powder
  • 1 tbs coriander powder
  • Salt according to taste
  • 1tbs fresh cream
  • 1tbs butter 
  • 1tbs oil


  • Blend onion , ginger and garlic make a onion paste.grind soaked cashews and make a paste  
  • In a pan heat oil and butter  add onion paste and bay leaf and fry it til the paste changes its colour to brown
  • Add  green chili ND red chili powder and fry it now add cashew paste and mix it well
  • Now add tomato puree  and cook it til oil separates from free 
  • Add corner powder and garam masala powder and mix it
  • Add 1/2 glass of milk and 1/2 glass of water boil it til it comes to the surface
  • Now add paneer and sprinkle Kasuri methi on top of it and close the lid and bring it to boil  once it is done  add fresh cream and turn off the flame and mix well
  • Serve hot with chapati
